God has given us his spirit
First performance of Heidi Cottrell's new composition, "God has given us his spirit"
Sacred or Secular, BMYC sings the words with feeling and passion. Concerts are often joyful or moving.
The choir is made up of 16 to 27 year
old Christians, but not exclusively Methodists.
BMYC travels around the UK visiting Methodist Churches performing concerts and contributing to services.

After a successful taster weekend in 2008 in York it is now time for another taster weekend to give new potential members the opportunity to try out the choir without the normal tight schedule of a concert weekend.
The weekend will be taking place at Hinde Street Methodist Church (Map) in London on the weekend of the 21st to the 23rd May and is open to anyone of any denomination or of none aged 15 to 27. The normal age range for the choir is 16 - 27 but if you are aged 15 then we invite you to give us a try and after your 16th birthday you can join the choir as a full member.
Photographs taken at the recent British Methodist Youth Choir (BMYC) concert at the Octagonal Yarm-on-tees Methodist Church, once described by John Wesley in his journal as his favourite church, are now available for viewing on the web site here:

O God, make the door of this house wide enough for all who need human love.
