2010 BMYC Taster Event

In 2010 the BMYC will once again be running a taster weekend to allow young people aged 15 - 27 to try out the choir and see if it is for them. There will be no concert this weekend, though there will be an opportunity to take part in a service to be recorded by the BBC as part of the congregation.

While there has been a Facebook Group Page available for some time, this is just for past and present members of the choir for sharing thoughts, prayers and embarrassing photos! There has not been a public face of the BMYC, this has now changed. You can access the BMYC Facebook fan page from this link. So please if you are on Facebook become a Fan and then spread the word.

On the the Fan page you will also be able to listen to some of the choir's music, see videos and see when our next concerts and taster events are.

 

Maghull Methodist Church where the British Methodist Youth Choir (BMYC) Performed on the 6th February 2010

The British Methodist Youth Choir performed their first concert of the year at Maghull Methodist Church in Liverpool on the 6th of February 2010.

This was the first time the choir has performed so early in the year, in an attempt to spread the concerts out more, over the year. This was also the first time the administrator has tried to film them in concert but more about that later.

After the choir had descended on Maghull from all corners of the country on the Friday night and had a good night sleep at their hosts, Saturday morning started off with a clear blue sky and the choir celebrated two birthdays with a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday and a very large cake! (Cake is a core part of been in the choir!)
