All concert dates for the BMYC booked for 2011

Concert dates for the BMYC (British Methodist Youth Choir) now available for 2011

The British Methodist Youth Choir (BMYC) can confirm that all concert dates have been booked for 2011 and that the details are available on this web site and on our Facebook Page.

We will be starting off the year at Wesley Memorial Church in Oxford, an area where currently a number of the choir live so we are hoping for a very good home crowd. In May we will start our journey North with a concert in the Midlands at Grangewood Methodist church in Nottingham and in July we will have traveled all the way north to Cumbria for our summer concert in Kirkoswald Methodist Church. For our final concert of 2011 we travel south again in October to North Walsham Methodist church in North Norfolk, which is the home circuit of the editor of the Artserve newsletter, the new Methodist organisation for the arts in the British Methodist Church.

Other news for 2011 is the choir is planning to produce a new CD, it is likely to take the same form as our previous CD "A New Dawn" where the BMYC will perform traditional words from hymns, poems and prayers to newly composed music. A lot of which will be from the current BMYC Conductor Heidi Cottrall. So keep an eye on the web site in 2011 for details of when and how you can buy the new CD.

We are starting to look at booking concert dates in 2012 but as this will be our 30th anniversary year we are looking to confirm the details of our anniversary concert before we finalise the remainder of the dates. Of course this should not stop you contacting the bmyc to propose further concert venues for 2012 and 2013.
